JABU TOLD BATANG AI PEOPLE TO CHOOSE CANDIDATE WHO CAN BRING DEVELOPMENT

ENGKILILI- Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu today expressed his confidence that the constituents in the Batang Ai constituency are now matured enough in their political affairs and therefore will choose the right representative in the April 7 polling.
This was important so that they would be able to raise their living standard through development programmes being planned by the government, he said.

He also said Dayak leaders, especially those in the Batang Ai area should stop their political bickering as it would not bring any benefit to those under their charges.
More frutsrating, he added, the common people would be dragged into their squabbles and this would indirectly affect the development of their areas.

Jabu, who is also the Mnister of Infrastructure Development and Communication and Minister for Rural Development said this at a Leader Meet –the- People session at Rumah Dundang anak Mujap, Kandis, near here.

Also present were General Manager of Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA) Datu Vasco Sibat Singkang, Political Secretary, Isik Lutau, Lubok Antu District Officer, Nelson Mujah Girie and BN candidate for the Batang AI by-election, Malcom Mussen Lamoh. Jabu also announced a government grant of RM500,000 to construct roads around Engkilili.-
