RESAT VISITS MEDIA CENTRE AT LUBOK ANTU

LUBOK ANTU, Mon:- Some 50 members of the media based in Kuching and Kuala Lumpur thronged the mini media centre set up at the Lubok Antu Information Office yesterday.

The centre, manned by the department’s Media Relations Officers from March 26 till April 7 will provide the venue for journalists covering the Batang Ai by-election to file and send their stories to their respective organisations.

Yesterday, State Information Department Director Resat Salleh, who was accompanying the Information Minister, Dato’ Ahmad Shabery Cheek to Lubok Antu, visited and mingled with the journalists.

The by-election is called for following the death of four-term State Assemblyman Datuk Dublin Unting Ingkot on February 24. Former Agriculture Engineer, Malcom Mussem Lamoh,50, of the Barisan Nasional(BN) will face former five-term Lubok Antu member of Parliament, Jawah Gerang in the Batang Ai by-election.
